Miss Pinup Japan Contestants Strut the stage at MOONEYES HRCS 2018

Thanks to Mitzi Valenzuela of Mitzi & Co and Kasumi Yoshino of Psycho Apparel visitors to last years MOONEYES HRCS in Yokohama Japan were treated to a Pinup Competition featuring ten gorgeous pinup girls strutting the MOONEYES stage, the pinup competititon was organised and sponsored by Mitzi & Co Photography Pomona California and Psycho Apparel, Rockabilly fashion store Saitama Tokyo with contestants from Japan, Taiwan, Australia and the USA all dead set on taking home the top Award of Miss Pinup Japan.

Japanese Pinup Icon Miwa Rock and US Pinup Rina Bambina MC’d the show, which was Judged by a well qaulified group of four, Pinup Model Emily Sherer, Illustrator and Sculptor Lady Weird, Pop Artist Rockin’ Jerry Bean and from Mooneyes inc Mr L.

Miwa Rock and Rina Bambino did a fabulous job of introducing the contestants and keeping the show rolling while the judges wrestled with their decisions, meanwhile the huge crowd that had converged on the stage area enjoyed the beauty and poise of the immaculately dressed pinups as they paraded and played up to the cheering audience, the girls had all gone to great lengths to display their own interpretations of Vintage style and each one looked magnificent.

All great things must come to an end and so it was that after all the contestants had been introduced and the judges had deliberated over their decisions it was time for Miwa and Rina to announce the winners, there were three Sashes to be awarded Best Hair and Make up, Best Dressed and of course the winner of the Miss Pinup Japan sash would be announced.

The first up was Best Dressed, which was won by Pino Pink (Japan) , next to be awarded was Best Hair and Make up, which was won by  Sacchin (Japan) and last but definitely not least was Miss Pinup Japan which went to Pino Pink who now holds the honour of being the first Miss Pinup Japan, I cannot wait for MOONEYES HRCS this year and dearly hope that Mitzi, Shige and Kasumi will again deliver the Pinup Competition and that they get many more entries from across Asia and indeed the Kustom Kulture world.

C’mon Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, England, Italy, France, Borneo, Finland, Sweden and all you other nationalities who come together to enjoy MOONEYES HRCS Yokohama, make sure you bring a contestant or two with you!

Before I finish I would like to congratulate Rose D’luxe on her outstanding effort in preparing for and competing in the first MOONEYES Pinup Competition, you did Australia proud Emm, I hope you can return next year to take on the world in Yokohama.
